Building a Stronger Maine is a political action committee supporting Ben Midgley’s campaign for Governor of Maine. The project called for a single, high-impact landing page that conveyed optimism, authenticity, and leadership — all while remaining fast, accessible, and visually distinctive. Crosby Creative Co. designed a streamlined one-page site blending WPA-inspired illustration with clean modern design to create a memorable digital identity that feels both timeless and forward-looking.
The campaign needed an online presence that matched the strength of its message — but without the overhead of a complex multi-page website. Key challenges included:
The project required a fully functional site on a short timeline ahead of launch.
Many campaign sites rely on standard templates; the team wanted something uniquely Maine, rooted in local identity.
Crosby Creative Co. designed a single-scroll experience that blends classic Americana illustration with modern digital clarity.
We developed a custom aesthetic using digital paintings evocative of 1930s WPA posters — a visual language that speaks to resilience, industry, and community. These illustrations lend the page an instant sense of place and optimism.
The one-page layout follows a natural storytelling rhythm:
The new Building a Stronger Maine website communicates exactly what voters need to see: trust, optimism, and authenticity. In a single scroll, the site tells a complete story — who Ben Midgley is, what he stands for, and why Maine’s future looks stronger under his leadership.
